Can someone help me please. Recently when I want to download files I get a message saying "Your current settings do not allow this file to be downloaded".

How do I stop this from happening because I am completely stuck as I need to download a couple of files fairly soon.

I have Windows Microsoft Internet Explorer if this helps with the answers, I am fairly new to computers so not totally computer illiterate.

Many thanks.

My best guess is you need to go into your Browser TOOLS and change the default setting for things related to security. Possibly look at changing from High to Meduim or Low. I'm having simlar problems, its a nightmare

Sounds like a firewall or IE issue.
In IE got to tools, internet options and set security higher. If that isn't right there are other options under tools.
You can also check your firewall settings.

go to

Internet Options >

one of the tabs will allow you to adjust the security seettings.

Ensure you first have administrator priveledges and not a limited account then check your security settings.
