I'm pregnant, and I know this might seem weird but, it's with my brothers baby. Two months ago, we fell in love. You see, I met him through my dad (who I havent seen since I was born). My dad was in the hospital and he needed a blood donation, and since our blood type matched, I was willing to give him some. After I announced that I was a match, another man came in and said he was too. I didn't know it then, but it was my brother. We fell in love and now I don't know what to do because I don't believe in abortion and I'm afraid it will come out with mental disabilities.
I'm scared, help me please.

okay, well how about adoption? I mean can you imagine the family reunions if you do not give up this baby? If this is really a serious question......eventually the kid may want to know about his family tree..how are you gonna explain that to this kid? "Sweetie(child) your dad is ALSO your Uncle??????"
should you choose to go through with the pregnancy, adoption I would say, it would be your best bet. Hopefully this child will not have any mental or physical problems.

The chance of something being wrong are slim. I went to genetic counseling once after a loss of a child with abnormalities. I learned that even first cousins have only a 1% chance of something going wrong. Since youhalf brother and sister chances are even slimmer. My question is though, why would you get romantically involved after finding out he was your brother. Since this is now a fact, just be happy and move on with your life with him or without and have your baby.

if you knew that he was your brother then you were wrong. but if you found out after you did the business then oops.have the baby anyway. and check with a doctor about how high the chances of defects are. if your brother does not know definately tell him.some people have purposely done this gotten married had children kept the brother sister thing a secret forever.and lead happy lives together. so be happy if he loves you andhave a great life together

You can only hide this secret for few months, before it will reveal itself. Therefore, you should allow or "let the cat out off the bag". Gather yourself, be bold, take a step, move, and declare yourself or tell the story to the people that matters in the family. They will now assist you to the big man of the house.

ouch that's really messed up, and as wrong and as horrid at imbreeding is, i know someone who had a baby with their cousin and it came out normal... maybe thats just because i live in alabama, if you dont believe in abortion the only thing you can do is tough it out and have the freakin' baby, you will love it no matter what is wrong with it, or at least you should. otherwise i dunno what to tell you i've never dealt with a situation like this. good luck to you and best wishes.

Wow, first of all. Calm down. Thanks to technology, now you can see the baby's future before is born. It might be a good idea to check a specilist to determinate the baby's health. Of course, you have to prepare yourself too, for anything that can happen. After all, it's your baby.

I'm assuming he is only your half brother, so he has only half of your genetic makeup. Be open with your doctor about this and he/she will tell you the chances of your baby having problems.
Make your decision from there.
