First, it depends on the phone and whether or not it supports the file format (.wmv, aac., mp3, etc.) for playback. If the answer is 'Yes,' then look at the following.

1.) Set bluetooth to 'On' on your handset - Most likely this setting will be under a menu item like 'Connections' in your handset. You'll need to set a name for your device so that your PC can identify it among other devices using bluetooth near or about you, and then you'll need to set your handset to 'Allow for discoverability' - this is so that your PC can see the device and establish a connection for transferring the music file. Again, all these options should be under the connections menu item in your handset.

2.) Sending the file to your device - Make sure that your bluetooth connection is working properly on your PC. Typically, there will be a bluetooth icon in your task bar of your desktop (check the lower right-hand coner, if your taskbar is at the bottom of your desktop). If you don't see it there, then there may be an icon on your desktop called 'My Bluetooth Places.' If you see this, chances are that bluetooth is running and you will be able to see all the devices running bluetooth connections in and around your area, including your mobile phone.

3.) Locate the file or files you want to send - Best thing here is to select the files you want to send either in a group or individually, and then right-click and choose 'Send to,' then choose either 'Bluetooth' or 'Bluetooth device' and go through the Windows wizard (wizard is another word for transfer process, its a series of screens that walks you through transferring a file, in this case)

4.) If you were able to establish a connection and send the file to your device, accept the file (on your handset) - i mean physically accept the file on your mobile device that you are sending from your PC. Your handset is now connected to your PC, but before it will accept the file it will ask you to confirm that you want to receive it. Select 'Accept,' or this confirmation screen could be displayed as a 'Yes/no' answer instead.

5.) If your phone asks you to specifiy a folder to save to, then i would suggest choosing the default location, that is whatever the phone manufacturer has put as the first option in highlight. The reason is that your music player (on your handset) will most likely look here first for available songs.

6.) Locate the file - Typically, if you have a music player on your phone, going there is sufficient. It should find the music file. Or, you could also go to your phones media gallery where all of your music, picture, and video files are stored. Upon selecting an item, the correct application will play the music file, display the picture, or play the video file.

That's it. That's all I've got. Hope that helps. But, can I suggest an ipod ;)

buy a bluetooth dongle (about a tenner) If you're running windows XP on your machine it has its own little program for doing bluetooth, its dead easy! Just follow the on screen instructions.

Yeah just get a dongle as mentioned in a previous and send the songs to your phone same as you would when transferring from one phone to another.

Make sure that you use MP3 format on the songs else they won't play on most phones.
