Every Christmas Eve we have dinner as a family and b/c were mostly Italian we have the tradition of having seafood that night. Then about 6 or7 years ago we started the tradition of watching the Santa clause movie and drinking hot chocolate before bed. We wake up at 6 every Christmas morning and open our presents from each other. We just spend the day together and have some small food all day long on the table so we can just pick at it. It's fun something i will always treasure and hope to one day pass it on and keep it alive with my own family!!!!! To everyone out there enjoy the holiday's and have the best one ever!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, this has always been since I was a little girl, so I don't know how it started. But on Christmas Eve we have dinner at other family member's houses. Like we'll go to my mom's mom's house, then to my stepdad's house. We will open the gifts we got from them, and laugh, eat, then go home. For the rest of the day we'll watch Christmas movies, relax, and just spend time together. Me and my sister always got to open 1 present on Christmas Eve from under the tree. Christmas day we always got up at like 5 am it seemed. Mom would make breakfast, usually her delicious french toast, and we'd exchange gifts, and open "Santa's" gifts. We could always leave our stuff piled in the floor all day Christmas. There would be xmas music, movies, and we'd have a quiet little family dinner. Now, married, me and my husband celebrate Christmas Day alone, and on Christmas Eve, we go to our parents house. We don't have kids yet, but as when I was a child I will carry on the wonderful tradition that my mom presented to me.

Every holidays, we usually have dinner together as a family. It's something that I always look forward to since we rarely eat together as a family during weekdays even on weekends unless we eat dinner in a restaurant.
Recently, I've attended a Christmas Traditions seminar in our church and it actually inspired me to jumpstart another tradition that is not only enjoyable for my family but a meaningful one as well.

our infants are 2 and four, a number of our traditions are our very own, yet some are carried on from as quickly as we've been little. one element we do is shrink down our very own Christmas tree. in many circumstances that's the day after Thanksgiving, then the tree is going contained in the storage till each and every week or 2 till now Christmas. We extremely have a family members baking day or 2 the place all of us party and crank out approximately 10 forms of cookies and candy. as quickly as our daughter became into born we would have cherished her to awaken in her very own residence on Christmas morning, so as that's something we attempt stressful to do. presents from Santa are unwrapped and might nicely be performed with precise away, however the different presents might desire to attend till after breakfast. additionally, in line with annum we supply my niece and nephew an decoration exceedingly for them so as that while they advance up and have a tree of their very own, they might have some starter adorns. We oftentimes get them at craft gala's so as that they are unique, and my siblings do the comparable for my toddlers. that's in line with threat my popular custom.

My husbands family started a Christmas morning breakfast for
their tradition many, many years ago. Though his family is not
doing this any longer as a big family(and I do mean big) he and I
have kept it going for our children and grandchildren. All of us look
forward to it and have kept it a tradition since 1987 when our kids
were still very young.
