He always swears, but can behave when he needs to. He's actually a nice bloke and a real family man.

I think he does swear a bit for the cameras - but probably swears a fair bit in real life too. I think he's a nice guy generally - i thought it was so sweet when he got all emotional about his pigs going to slaughter - ahh - and he seems to have nice kids which I think is always a good sign of someone being a good person.
What bugs me about his show Kitchen Nightmares is the way they always have to have a shot of him changing his top! I like him, but I don't need to see his body every single week!

Some of it is undoubtedly for the cameras, however, a professional kitchen is an extremely pressurised workplace especially with someone as demanding as Gordon Ramsey.
I met him in Male airport in January, whilst we didn't have a long conversation we did chat and he seemed like a very nice guy.

Hi ive never met him personally but i think that the swearing is real most chefs get so fustrated at staff for doing stuff right i dont agree he should be swearing at them though my sisters boss went to one of his restaurants in london and said that the staff were miserable at there job one of the waiters couldnt do silver service she spilt water on the table and gravy down her husbands shirt then when she rang to complain she spoke to gordon ramseys personal assistant who said she would get back in touch and never has.

He only swears for the cameras, and theres no need for it. Thinks it makes him look good. I'm not that keen on him cos he comes over as a smarmy arrogant man. Maybe if he stopped trying to impress us all, we might find that he's actually a nice guy?

I think his swearing is just his way of expressing himself. They may possibly ask him to overkill it for TV but who cares?! Never has swearing been so sexy! I bet he is a nice guy if you were his friend or family member but not if you are an employee! I would hate to work for the guy!

Yes, apparently he doesn't swear at home (his wife said it in an interview!) It's defo for the cameras. I think he's much nicer and softer in his family life. Did you see the F-word and the way he was with his kids and the pigs, Trinny and Susannah?! He went quite soft on those little porkers (until they ended up on the dining table!!!)

I've only met him once, but he was a really nice guy. The only time he swore was when he walked into a door... the swearing was genuine ;)

A lot of chefs are like that in busy kitchens. You have visions in your mind of what you want done, how things look and what is acceptable once you're busy if people around you can't do their jobs to high standards you do get angry. I don;t think he's like that out of the kitchen, if you watch the f word he's brilliant with his wife and kids.
