Stop smoking - and if you're over 70 you might be on a losing battle.

Facial scrubs - but not too often. Leave a day or three between scrubs to allow the skin cells to regenerate.

You need to use a microdermabrasion product 2-3 times per week. It will slough off dead skin cells and make the surface of your face smoother and feel softer. it will also decrease blackheads and minimize the look of fine lines. I like Mary Kay's because it comes with a 2nd step... a replenisher that adds vitamins to your skin after it has been exfoliated. Plus, this products lasts about 6 months, so it is a good investment. 100% guaranteed by the company, too. I use it and LOVE it!

everyday wash your face with a face wash then put some shower gel on to a spong that has that rough green stuff on top, make sure its a new spong that hasn't been use and then gently rub it over your face for about a min make sure you dont go to near your eyes and dont rub to hard, after that use nivea young face wash the one with the beads in and then afterwards rub in some of Dove's rich nourishing body moisturiser for dry skin on your face don't use to much, do this once day and after about a week you will feel a difference and after 2weeks there will normally be a big difference that you can feel and see.

I have this same problem.

Found a great solution. Just before bed, use Pond's Cold Cream. Rub in thoroughly, remove with a DRY wash cloth. Use NO water.

When you wake your skin will be as smooth as a baby's bottom.
