Nope, it's lightly sparkling.

No, the world isn't flat, but neither is it perfectly round. The spinning of the earth throws the bits around the equator outwards, so that the shape is a bit like a mandarin orange or a tennis ball that's been sat on. Not by very much though; the diameter of the earth from North Pole to South Pole is 7900 miles and the diameter at the equator is 7926 miles - so you can see there's only 26 miles in the difference, which isn't much when you think about the size of the Earth.

No, the world is round, but not concentric round. It looks more like orange. However, please read the following interesting write-up with links for fun purpose:

The idea of a spinning globe is only a conspiracy of error that Moses, Columbus, and FDR all fought...

"The facts are simple," says Charles K. Johnson, president of the International Flat Earth Research Society. "The earth is flat."

Please do not get swayed away by above reasoning. My answer is given at the top. The world is round - a bit like elliptical.

No, although it looks flat to us, since we are too "small" when compared to the size of the whole planet.

The shape of the Earth is very close to an oblate spheroid, in fact, the shape of the Earth is called "geoid".

Take a look at the following link, and I hope I've helpe on something.

Hello,

Thats a bit of a daft question these days, as the answer has been known for many decades now. But the "perception" that the earth is flat remains perfectly understandable however.

No. The world is not flat. I'm not also sure if the world is perfectly round.

Must be. The bible says it has four corners, and you can't argue with that, can you?!

Well, yes.

Nope... it can be proven by gravity, and the weight of things at the equator and the poles... or by placing a pendulum in one spot with either a pen dragging on paper or dominoes around it (make sure the pendulum is friction free)
