my doc has sugested a process where in i have to get an ultrasound every alternate day to see the growth of the follicle and she says when the follicle reaches its max size she will give an injection that would help release the egg ,i m really scared ,and paranoid,has anyone been thru this process if so pl help i am so confused ,its been 5 months since we are ttc

Yes, we tried that method. The goal is to time the ovulation and insemination in order to enhance fertilization. I have linked a couple of articles below that have good explanations of the procedure. Good luck

I went through fertility treatment for 2 years. I never once heard anything about ultrasound to determine ovulation. Normally, they do bloodtests everyday around the time of ovulation and can give you the exact day to ttc. A lot of the time they wont take any action until you have been ttc for at least 12 months, unless you have an underlying condition that will stop you fall pg naturally. The injection does cause you to ovulate, and that is nothing to be afraid about. It is just a hormone injection which causes your body to react to it, since your body is not doing it itself. I would ask why they want to use ultrasound as a means of ovulation detection before agreeing to it. Gl with it all.
