You don't need to if you are a songwriter doyou?

Now if you were a singer/songwriter... that would be different!

IT actually IS normal, and some of the best songwriters/musicians didnt like their own voice! For example Jimi Hendrix never liked to sing, but was and still is a legend for guitarists and songwriters alike !

I'm a songwriter too but I don't hate my voice. It's okay. But if you hate yours maybe vocal lessons will help out. Hope this helps!

try to find singers who has a tone of voice similar to yours and start listening to all their songs.. when you feel ready try to sing them too and record your voice so you cna listen and compare it to the original.
After some time you'll start accepting and liking your own tone of voice :) hopefully! :)

When you're singing, it's what OTHERS think of your singing voice that matters, not what YOU think.
I myself think I sound awful when I sing, but people - including complete strangers - keep telling me they think I'm great.

songwriters are not proformers........they are ones who are gifted with a good tune and words.

take voice lessons...sing in the bathroom...cover your left ear when you sing to hear yourself..
