As u r in beginner/ intermediate level, I suggest u that go to the link www.freechess.org and download the program and practice well n when u r familiar with game,then u can go to www.playchess.com ,www.pogo.com for online n also search google for online chess games.

Yahoo Games is a best site to learn & play chess.

I didnt know much rules and not played chess alot before i started to play on yahoo. it was so exciting and challengable that i have played 1000 games now. and u learn different move everytime u r playing because u r playing with ppl with different thinking, different culture and different mind set.
