Depends on the car, but all of my normal driving cars have been around 195 degrees.

Normally it runs between 180 and a maxof 250 degrees. Replace the thermostat, flush out raditor, replace filler cap for raditor, Check fan belt tension. if electric are fans coming on?Check for water coming out off the weep hole on bottom of water pump.If it is leaking replace pump. Have a fun day

well Mathew, how high does your Gauge go to? my diesel truck goes to 230 and sometimes it reaches there. and theres a couple answers to that. maybe your thermostat is stuck, not opening up to allow the water/coolant threw[I'm assuming you do have coolant in there] or maybe you don't have enough water in there. if you were to smell the coolant, that would be aleak in your system somewhere like if you were to use the heater and you noticed the coolant smell. maybe the whole thing needs flushing.

90 to 110 degree centigrade. If any coolant is not used and radiator cap is closed. It will create pressure.

you must have a very good system then!! turn it down if its too hot!
