I agree with you. Bush is a war monger and he wants to draft our young men only to send them into a war that we can't win--but it will thin out our own population, which is another scheme of his so he can bring more foreigners in here to completely destroy America. He is so stupid that he thinks he will come out being the top leader in everything . He has probably never even thought about the possibility that if they take over America he will go down with the rest of us. They are too smart to want him as their leader.

Reinstating the draft is not such a bad idea, you stated in your question it is mandatory in many countries.
My reason being the age of the draft, the military have saved many people with the direction, education, and training given that adolescents may not have been able to access otherwise. Maybe there are some poll statistics out there - I just know I have heard numerous accounts of the old....If it wasn't for the Army/Navy/Etc I'd be dead or in jail.

Okay...#1- I don't disagree with the draft. I think it is a pretty good idea to be honest. #2- I think that the boys in our country could benefit from being in the Army.
For a long time I have said that every young man should be required to join the Armed Forces just so that they could learn values, get some discipline, and have a good start in life. You get college money, you get medical, you get so many benefits from being in the Army. I say it is a great idea but that's just my opinion.
- Keep in mind I am in the Army, my husband is in the Army, and basically my whole family has been in the military at one time or another so I know it's hard but it's not the end of life.

In case you missed the story a top democrat is the main one calling to reinstate the draft. I personally do not like the idea. If it happens though, there is nothing you can do about it. It has happened before. In many countries millitary service is mandatory. I would think there are many teenagers out there right now wetting their pants.

im mad cuz i thought the whole reason ppl came to america was for freedom and democracy and now bush is tellin ppl they have to join the army? i think its retarded. i think bush is abusin his power. im also upset cuz if he has his way some of my bffs will be in the war. its bad enough my aunt and uncle are in the army

You need to get your facts straight before making a statement like this. It's the Democrats that are are wanting to reinstate the draft! Watch the news or pick up a newspaper and read it.

It pretty much sucks. If you want to go and fight, then be my guest, I'm not going to stop you. But how exactly does old Georgie boy think he's going to win his so-called 'war' with a bunch of people who don't even want to be there? If he want to get the best out of his troops, then surely he should be sending out people who actually want to kill, maim and disfigure for a living. The man's a ****. Why doesn't HE bloody go over there and fight himself. Lead by example, monkey boy.
