Sci-fi though meant to be of course fictional should have an element of realism to it, the writers have been lazy by not explaining things in detail, they haven't bothered as this would require a degree of creativity that could be passed off as rather realistic e.g. if they are higher than the government who pays their wages and surely if a fairy/gremlin type creature killed your partner and took away your child it wouldn't be secret for much longer, the police would surely start asking questions. I'm not trying to nitpick but if a sci-fi programme is too daft I can't get into it or find the characters believable at all, seems like Russell Davis is relying on raunchy storylines to get the viewers than clever storylines that make the viewer use their brain more, at least in shows like The X Files they were working for a known government body and some of the stories though totally fictional were believable at the same time as they could or may already of happened in real life, this is what made this show rather eerie, while this programme seems to have to many gaps and I find myself asking too many questions while i'm watching it making it rubbish to watch, if it was set in the future or in space it would be a different matter but it aint, its set in our time and needs to be alittle more credible despite being classed as Sci-fi, I'm half expecting a threesome or foursome next between the main characters, so daft, it wouldn't surprise me, wait for it...it looks like there is going to be another lesbian kiss next week...whoopee...NOT!

I think its pretty good. Just so you know the episode with the cannibals was supposed to be a homage to zombie movies and that lot. My mum isnt that keen on it after the scene where the cyberwoman had put her brain into the girls body.

I think its a real flop. Terrible acting, weak scripts and awful camera work which gives you a headache. A real disappointment after the excellent Doctor Who revival. The BBC keep promoting it as "hot" but I can't see how think that. I'm glad others share my opinion. I thought I was the only one and everyone else thought it was good!

I actually like it which is unusual for me because I cannot usually stand this type of programme. It may have something to do with a bottle of Paul Masson Rose going down my neck though.

The narrative and direction are completely sloppy and at times the acting is risable but, for me that's the charm of the programme. The sfx are serviceable at least. The whole thing's just camp and oozes sexuality, whether or not the plot calls for it (and it never does). More please!

I'm actually warming to it. I hated it at first. Didn't see the point of Dr Who for grown ups. But I'm really starting to enjoy it. Having John Barrowman playing Captain Jack doesn't hurt too much either! (yes, I know he bats for the other team, but where's the law that says I can't look? :o) )

I like it.
It's good to see sci-fi with a bit of adult content in it.
If it plagiarises other programmes, that's fine with me.
And yes, it's nonsensical and far fetched, but that's part of its charm.

Isn't Sci-Fi supposed to be illogical and nonsensical?
