There is a lot of that. Most of this is born out of poverty and it is alwaaaaaays about you sending them money. They used to do all that over the phone and by sending you faxes with incredible proposals and very unlikely profits.I never ever send them anything, give them any info on who I am and so on.One time I dumped about 300 faxes like that in the mailbox of the Nigerian embassy with a letter.I once talked over the phone with one person asking me to reply to his fax. I should have recorded it. It was 1999 or so.He was astonished to find out I spoke Yoruba and I told him to stop sending me anything because they are gonna get nowhere with me anyhow.
He said he needed a job and they had broken into a phone landline to send faxes and emails.I told him to go and look for an honest job.If you are in Nigeria even phoning from a phonehouse or leaving your emailadress somewhere can give you a heap of annoyance. They keep sending you all kinds of ****.Best is to shut them out of your system any which way you can.
