Hi, i've just asked my godmother's mum what he wanst for christmas- he wants the new my chemical romance cd so I've done a search to see who's cheapest. Anyway, what I notice is that some websites show the parental advisory logo on the cover, some don't. If they don't, does this mean that it had been edited fro swearing? He's only 9 and I don't want to be the one responsible for him hearing stuff like that but I've said I'd buy it now so am hoping I can get an edited version. eg play.com don't show the logo but jungle cds is cheaper but does show the logo so am hoping if i'm going to spend more I'll get him the edited version!

my thoughts would be that there are two versions of the album. it would make sence as a lot of MCR's fans are quite young. ive had a look on play.com and they have the album for sale without the explicit logo, and i dont think they could show that picture if there were explicit lyrics. also on amazon the album is advertised as Black Parade (explicit lyrics).

i am assuming u mean your godson ?!? i don't think that any of the lps will be censored. it'll just that some have got the stickers on , and some don't. the only time bands usually edit lyrics is when they want their songs to get airplay on popular radio or tv stations. i can't see them going to the expense of recording two separate versions of their lp. i have plenty of cd's that contain swearing, and that do not have a parental advisory sicker on them. if u have a question, try going to the MCR website, most of these bands have a way that u can get in touch with someone who represents them.

It does have some explicit lyrics -- a little strong for a 9-year-old. I don't think they've done a "clean" version.

I've got the album and I can tell you that there is about three swearwords throughout the whole thing! And his singing isn't clear. It's not going to be like Eminem or anything like that, they're more emotional songs - not cool ones.

If not, try the first album if he hasn't already got it - as there is no swearing at all in that one!

Your question doesn't make sense. You say your Godmothers mum and then say the CD is for a 9 year old, which is it??

Should it have been your Godson that wants the CD ??

I would think they are all probably the same. I cant see them making two versions, its not cost effective. Contact the comany though and they should be able to tell you

it doesn't have swearing in it, i don't think. only '****' thats about it, even a 5 year old knows swear words, whats wrong with a 9 year old learning.
