You need to contact the Health Authority and find where the records are kept for the closed Hospital. Under the Freedom of Information Act you can write to the FOI Officer in charge of the details for that hospital and request details from your file at birth. They have to reply to you within so many weeks and if they have the information will give it to you.(dont think you will get any info from them on your mother though apart from date admitted time of birth date discharged - although this also depends on whether your file still exists or the main details have just been archived. I got information a few weeks ago using this method. Good Luck.
When sending the letter it helps if you can send some sort of ID ie copy of birth cert passport or something to prove your identity.

I dont think it will be on your birth certificate It doesnt have the time of birth on mine just the date..
Even if the Hospital is not there anymore they must still have the records for it, I would contact someone at the new hospital in cardiff and ask where you would be able to obtain these records. surely they will keep medical notes and they will definately be in there.
Good Luck

If the time is not up dated in your birth certificate the check in to the hospital you've born in the birth certificate so you could give your details and find out the patient records. it is the only way to find it out.

I am adopted too and have this problem as I don't have my original birth certificate. I f you don't either then contact General Register Office in London for all registries, there is a fee but is worth it if you want to know your birth details.

I have to say that it WON'T be on your birth certificate. Times are only shown in the UK if you're a twin or triplet etc.
Despite this, it's possible that in your notes, or rather your mum's notes, the time of the birth was noted down. Perhaps you could get your hands on them somehow.
Otherwise you'd have to ask the one person who'd know - your mum.

Even if you are adopted, everyone has got a birth certificate isn't it? And on the certificate your birth time should be shown.

Where did all you guys get your birth certificates from ??? Mine doesnt have the time (date only) neither has my husbands and neither do my daughters. It would only be the hospital records that have this. Often, when the records cannot be traced they automatically use 12 midday in place of (for astrology etc etc.) Good luck in your search xxx

It should be on your original birth certificate. Your adopted parents should have been given your original birth certificate when they adopted you that states who your birth mother is as well. Well that's how adoption are in Scotland any way.

Try your birth certificate. If you don't have one contact the vital statistics office where you were born. Or I think you can go to usbirthcertificate.net. and request a copy.
