Whew, the answers....
Ladies and Gentlemen, this is business.
Follow the money.
If you want to make more, you need to do more.
Simple equation... tough execution...
1. Take on more responsibility (bigger territory, more tasks, higher position)
2. Your work is higher quality (less re-do time/cost).
3. Your work creates higher sales or revenues.
The basic equation for business is Revenues - Costs = Profits
So, think of YOUR VALUE in your company as being determined by how you can influence either of The Big Factors: Revenue or Costs.
By exemplary Cost control or increasing Revenues, you will be feeding the Profit equation, which is so near and dear to the Owners.

The salary/remuneration for a particular job is the market value for a particular profession and designation at the city/town where the office is located. Job postings at websites like Monster, Yahoo HotJobs and Careerbuilder carry information about salaries. The Govt Dept of Labor, (www.bls.gov) Bureau of statistics has information about median salaries for different professions and details of additional compensation offered. Other online resources are salary.com and payscale. Your salary will also depend on your educational qualification and how you handle your career. Telemarketing operators are notorious for it. Contact the Corporation Commission in your state. Report it. Then contact the Better Business Bureau as you always should before accepting a job anywhere anyway. Then call your local news network, and explain the situation. The will have an "In Your Corner" type of program, and they will find the jerks if they haven't skipped the state or country already. Nad

u tell him about ur new job offer, secondly tell him what all major responsibilities u are sharing, why the present salary is not sufficient for u, tell him about the cost of living. u should ask as per how much ur comfortable with.
ask the same as of new offer, but u will be getting a little lesser than that, he may not give u the same. if it is satisfactory for u then accept. if u really want to take the outside step then boldly tell this is not sufficient.
