Ryanair. The company is cheap, safe, and reliable, but it's a lot more like public transport than an airline. It combines the worst aspects of air travel (metal dectectors, no fluids in hand baggage, the remove-your-shoes game) with the worst aspects of public transport (plus the fact that the Continental Europeans who fly it have no concept of how to queue politely)...but it is cheap, on time, and safe.

Living here in Italy....I know it sounds crazy, but I think it's because I love this country and the great people, but I'm homesick for the States and my family and friends. Two more years to go!
