we have to invest a big amount for the computer infrastructure alone, we have to educate people on how to use the computer specially in the remote areas where people are still computer illiterate, i hope that the results will be an accurate one, that is, without any software manipulation when it comes to counting of the votes

using computers will result to a waste in money and time,
ponder on this points:
.can we invest on computers in the first place?
.majority of the Filipinos are not literate enough to use computers
.it will take a lot of time teaching them the 'ease' of using computers
.can we even make the computers reach far out places before the 'bad guys' put each one in their 'pockets' along the way
.we don't have enough funds to first satisfy the corrupts' pockets
i think, the Filipinos should first be given a seminar on how to use computers and the voting software.
make them aware of how this will benefit all of us.
and try this first only on certain parts of the Philippines.

my idea is to "pilot" electoral computerization on urban centres where there are high density of voters and a relatively higher computer literacy rates. if proven to be effective, expansion to the suburban areas and the far flung districts to follow.
whether manual or automated vote counting is applied, cheating and manipulation can still be done. it's up to the people's initiative really to have an honest and credible elections

Don't we already have computers decaying at COMELEC? Then why don't we use it? It's our taxes anyway. Maybe this could help our fading elections credibility.
