I thought Casino Royale was awesome. contender for best film this year with pirates 2.
Was wondering though, do you think Daniel Craig got lessons on pouting and puckering his lips from posh spice ?

It was absolutely brilliant! Eva Green is smart, witty and has a natural beauty that isn't so often appreciated in today's Hollywood. Daniel Craig gave a new face to the usually stale and "always a gentleman" 007. The acting was genious and special effects were first class. Since I've never read the book I didn't know the story-line of Casino Royale, so when I thougth the movie was over and they were going to live "happily ever after", I was surprised of the twist in the end. It made me anticipate the next Bond adventure even more. A new star is born!

Ahh, Casino Royale...
I've been a fan of Daniel Craig's ever since Our Friends in the North, and have always respected his acting abilities. When he was picked for Bond I was jubilant. Then I saw the trailer and had my worries. Then I went to see the movie...
As Bond, I reckon he has some serious potential - that opening chase was without parallel in recent Bond movies. The movie itself died for me the moment LeChiffre got shot, and seemed to flap about for the last half hour or so.
As for Craig's pouting...hehehe...well, you have to model your pout on someone, don'tcha?
I'll tell you another thing - I can see why they didn't put this Bond up again Samantha Bond's Moneypenny. If you watch them smile, and speak, Craig and Bond could almost be siblings! Hehehe...go try it - watch the movie again, then watch any of the recent Moneypenny flicks...

as for Mr Craigs puckerin & pouting I never noticed but if he did take lessons I am sure if was not from the wiaf...

I haven't seen it nor will I - I just can't support Daniel Craig as Bond. I teeter between Connery & Brosnan. Besides, him & that pouting...looks like he got clocked in the mouth & the swelling hasn't gone down yet.

Are you taking the mick? I haven't seen either, but heard that Pirates 2 was really dull, and that the new Bond looks like a PE teacher - all brawn & none of the wit of the other Bonds.
I suppose what you think of a film depends on your age, level of sophistication etc. My 12 -year-old thought Pirates 2 was brilliant. I suppose these film reviewers are just too blase. I've no doubt I'll enjoy Casino Royale, but I'm disappointed by the reviews.
