I'd like to expand a little bit on the other answers. Assuming that you have a valid IP address on your computer currently (e.g. can connect to the internet, follow the instructions in the above answers. The particular address that you are looking for is the Default Gateway. This is the address of your router, in most cases. That is, this is the address with which your computer needs to connect in order to get to computers on other networks (e.g. the Internet). The default gateway address is the one that you want to use to connect with the router. If you still can't connect or you can't get a valid IP address from the router, your best bet is to reset your router to its factory defaults. There should be a reset button somewhere on the back of the router that will help you accomplish this task. Obviously, when you reset the router, both the IP addresses as well as the passwords that you wanted to change will be reset to the defaults. Also, it is always best to change your router settings by having your computer connected directly to the router with an ethernet cable, rather than connecting to the access point wirelessly. You may already know this, but I wanted to include it for good measure and for others who may read this answer. Hope that this helps!

try 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 that maybe the IP address of the router.. this is the default unless specified in the router configuration..
if you want to know your (WAN) ip address not the (LAN), just search "What's my IP address?" on Yahoo Search.

c:/ipconfig /all
but a default ip address is 192.168.1.2 and the other one is 192.168.1.254. when you go to the dos prompt you will see which one it is when you type ipconfig /all and press enter.
this will help you
