You took my line!! (major chuckle here) I always say if they sold groceries on ebay I would never have to leave my house.
Ebay is awesome. You can find ANYTHING on ebay. I made a hefty little sum selling on ebay too--but decided that was too much work and it wasn't as fun as buying.

They rarely have what I'm looking for, most people charge excessive shipping to make money, many people are scammers and eBay refuses to delete their accounts despite them selling boot-leg DVD's, just because they're Power Sellers. So many sellers have negative feedback and I won't do business with that sort. (I have 100% of 150+)
I can usually get better deals just by getting free shipping from standard online retailers like Amazon.com. Even Amazon Marketplace is cheaper for CDs and DVDs because the shipping is standardized, the listings last for months, and people sell cheaper.
And when I sell on eBay, 7 out of 10 items doesn't get even one watcher let alone a bid, so I just wasted $1.35 in fees, time taking photos and writing descriptions.

I am the same I buy everythign I can from there, If there is a book I see that I might like to read I ebay it first if there is a copy there I buy it or bid... some of my kids christmas presents have come from ebay this year again, I also get birthday annerversiary presents home decor, clothes, shoes, jewlerry, textbooks and heaps heaps more from there!
It is fun!!!

I'm so addicted to eBay that I think my friends are going to schedule an intervention at some point. I buy all my daughter's clothes, all my clothes, all my Christmas presents, beauty supplies, office supplies...nevermind, you get the picture. It's frighteningly easy to use because of PayPal, and I am convinced that I will go into debt at any point because I buy so much crap I otherwise wouldn't buy there. Phew. Thanks for letting me vent.

absolutely, to the point where i see something i like in a shop and start getting excited at the prospect of getting it much cheaper on ebay!!! am also into selling to try and balance it out!
