I have several metal detectors. I have found gold jewelry. The holy grail of detecting is the gold coin. I mostly use my detectors as a tool to find gold deposits in rivers. They sound off in areas where heavy minerals tend to concentrate . If i find lead, nails, high mineralization and pieces of iron etc i know its a good spot to dredge. So in using my dredge to recover the material my detector finds i can say at least several ounces. There are many good sites for finding gold and using metal detectors. www.49er mike.com www.gpaa.com www.goldgold.com www.losttreasure.com
