I'd have two guesses ... and that's exactly what they are.
1. Fairview (and all its non-Anglicized derivatives)
2. Riverside (and all its non-Anglicized derivatives)
... because you can pretty much bet that the town was set up either due to a nice view, or because there is water nearby.

I don't know about "in the world" but in the US the most common name is Washington. Springfield is only 2nd... and the source I used was a world atlas given to me as a gift!

I would say Portland, Lexington for the US, but with foreign countries look up something from China is a good bet
