i'd plan something big cause you'll be paying for it anyway, like a weekend getaway or more. then you can just tell her that it was planned the whole time, you just didn't want to ruin the suprise by telling her early like on her birthday.

First things first, your gonna wanna take out that second mortgage..just kidding...Apologize BIG TIME..but more importantly..let her know that it's not that you don't love or care for her more than anything in the world..it's just that you are a guy and bad with dates like that...you do love her more than anything and cherish her above all else..she is very important to you..........you catching my drift yet? Lots o' butt kissin and letting her know that she is special to you.

you end up in the dog house. Girlfriend might break up. Best suggestion get a good gift, (Jewelry) dinner and flowers and probably make her happy
