I know this sounds strange, but someone I know actually wants her left foot pierced. Despite my protests she still wants the top-to-bottom job. Can this be done, or must she get the piercing elsewhere on her foot?

I've never heard of this...it must be something new.
She shouldn't be getting it on her foot...if she gets an infection she's in huge trouble, and it'll hurt her since her weight is on where the piercing will be.

There are bones in there - she could screw up her foot for life.
Plus - this is through the foot, so she'd need to WALK on the piercing, right? Seems like a REALLY BAD IDEA - talk her out of it.

That is a bad idea. Imagine stepping in a nail and it hurt. Or walking with sliver or a piece of glass in your foot. Bet it'd be uncomfortable!!
Does she plan to wear thongs everyday? Wearing shoes/socks may pull on it.

this chic is out of this world, her foot!, come on piercings r so ugly, especially on girls it makes them unattractive, well i dont know but she would have to ask the piercing parlor if they do it but come on the foot thats gonna bother! (OUCH).
