I think you have just run into a few bad apples. Guys are guys, gay str8 or bi, basically decent underneath but we all have our faults.
I will say this, some bi guys tend to over compensate, constantly reminding you they could be with a girl (as if you were lucky to be with them), but pettiness ain't exclusive to bi guys, they just got a different weapon to use.

No, my partner (20 years now) was married before I met him..so technically he's bi I guess....He's fine...just a really good man.

i imagine some adult men purely brush aside BI as a stepping stone to popping out and for some adult men it really is. although, there are bona fide bisexual adult men and admittedly i don't have an situation with them in any respect.
