The ones that make you laugh. The best selling ones I think are the ones that show a good product and show you why it is good. Unlike the ones that just use sex or something off topic.

Good creativity , concept and presentation. It should be unique to demand memory space in targetted consumer's mind , which is already crowded with so many ads doing today.
In indian context, I think sentiments & emotions do touch indian hearts. It will also depend on the product you want to advertise.

Please don't use the old gimmick of using another person that claimed they use it and it's the best ever,it's been used so many times and always comes out as unreal, they hire persons that are really professional actors,I would suggest a good humorous joke or something like that Lassie commercial that showed some Kung Fu moves and challenged the mountain lion to protect Timmy

1. Keep it simple.
2. Define benefits first then features. (Important).
3. Call for action. (Make sure to include a big "buy now" button)
4. Happy selling.

I think a clear explanation of the product, a good price and an offer of a coupon to buy it.

You have to at least check spelling or they won't even know what the hell you're trying to peddle. Proper grammar is also an asset. Don't try this at home before getting hooked on phonics. You're not getting very good marks in spelling.

It boils down to 2 things. You make a person want to buy it to fulfill their happiness or to protect them out of fear. We buy things thinking it will make us happier like food, toys, entertainment, etc. We buy things to protect us like cloths (from the weather), house (safety), etc. It's all a matter of how you present it to your target market.

Humor always helps .... I love Jack in the Box commercials, and I *detest* Carl's Jr. commercials. (I will not go to a Carl's!)

Also a GOOD song .... always makes you sit up and take notice ... and remember!

it would help to know what your target group is. Who are you trying to sell to and what are you trying to sell?

We all know that sex sells.... but alot of us are really tired of that idea.
