Mine started going bad so I had a friend mechanic check the transmission fluid and it was waaaay low. Put some in and worked like new, but could be something else with yours altogether.

Speeding up fast, not getting transmission flushes, not getting tune ups, there are a lot of reasons.

Low fluid, dirty fluid, overheating, spending too much time in low gear (related to overheating), bad shifting habits (using 2nd gear to start car from standstill), and probably dozens of other reasons.

what kind of tranny? if it's a automatic, i would say low fluid, old filter, or abuse...poor driving skills...a standard tranny....old tranny oil, worn components(forks or gears), bad driving habits
