I would like to honor the man that changed the way I see the world, as would thousands of his fans around the globe. After watching all his films, I felt as if I knew him and would like to pay tribute to the greatest filmmaker of all time.

I got the word from the actor that played Mark Stiggs that the funeral is private. So I'm staying home and watching Nashville.

i heard about it on the radio and i dont think it was announced. i would guess there would be some kind of public tribute/service in addition to a private family affair. i would ask again in a couple days

well, I have seen Home Praire Companion and Cookie`s Fortune, which were both very good, and I`d like to see more of his work...but, truely, I don`t take him as the best director of all the time, even if he is one of my " top 10" :)

I didn't know he was dead. If he is dead, his funeral would probably be in California somewhere I would imagine.
