Ok so i seen my doctor today and he said i was 24 weeks pregnant. This is my third time seeing him the past two visits werent as good, and here is why, aparently my doctor thought i had medical and i dont i infact have blue shield. When i told him what my vitamins were doing he said that there is nothing he can do about it that he would presicribe me a different brand but its to much money for me since i am on medical. I told him no doc i have blue shield. He than said ohh well in that case let me prescribe you one of the better vitamins. So he did and we went down to the pharmacy and apparently that brand dont exist anymore..... yea some doc he is uhh ? My question remains why should i have been treated differently if i was on medical ? why would he tell me there is nothing he can do since i am on medical and the prices are to high but infact there is alot more he can do for me since i have blueshield ? Why should we be treated differently? Am i alone on how i feel..?

I dont think its right that we are treated unfair because of our insurance. If you cant pay the $30 for a medication than yes talk to your doctor about a cheaper brand but.... however its not right that there was nothing he could do about it when he thought i had medical... I dont think it should really bother him to much on what i can pay for when it comes to my prescriptions if i couldnt afford it than yes talking to him about maybe a cheaper brand may help me out but to sit there and judge me on my insurance and what i can or cannot pay for is really ignorant and i have to know am i the only one that feels that way ?

sadly yes that can be the case sometimes. Usually, though, they just want to do what is cheaper for you. insurance companies, not doctors, are in the driver's seat nowadays. they have too much control.

I would switch doctors but yes, that is reality. You are treated differently. I experienced something of the like when I went to a dentist. The receptionist thought I had no insurance when she found out I did ( and it is was medical). She threw up her hands and let out a deep breath and said, "You didn't tell me you had insurance". I left out of there and got my care somewhere else adn haven't looked back.

Your doctor is a jerk. I had medicaid with my children and got treated no different than anyone else. I still see him every year for my check ups and have " real insurance " now and get treated no different now than i did then. I think you should seek a new doc after this pregnancy.

different insurances cover different things. in the defense of your doctor the cost of some medications can be a cross to big to carry... UNLESS YOU HAVE INSURANCE that covers the burdon of the cost. and SOMETIMES insurance companies change their "approved" drug list, hence you then think that the medication is no longer available.... it's probably just not available with YOUR INSURANCE but is indeed still available to other people with OTHER insurances.

If i were you I would get another Dr. Before more important matters come up, like the birth of you baby. Something was definitely wrong with that picture. His mind is obviously not on what's best for you.

Why p.c.. on the police. Socio-financial status performs a function in the way every person is taken care of - - era. You rich or well known, people will fawn throughout you. you basically a damaging schmuck, attempt to keep away from being stepped on by utilising the people rushing after the wealthy guy.
