Fastest Animal peregrine falcon, a bird (100-200 miles per hour)
Fastest Marine Animal sailfish (68 miles per hour)
Fastest Land Animal cheetah (70 miles per hour)
The first link is wrong. It meant the fastest marine mammal is a blue whale. Sailfish are faster.

Technically, WE are the fastest in all of those elements. We ARE Animalia...
But if you meant unassisted, the cheetah for land at around 70 mph, the peregrine for air, and the fastest sea creature are the blue-fin tuna, the yellow-fin, the wahoo, all of which are around 45 mph (when leaping out of the water), and the sailfish, at 68mph.
No doubt though that the Peregrine is the fastest out of all these...
The Peregrine's deadly accurate dive (or 'stoop') speed has been recorded between 65 to 250 mph (400 km/h).

Fastest animal on land is the cheetah but it tires quickly because of its sudden burst of energy. In the air is the peregrine falcon, it can catch its prey in midair and fly upward nearly as fast as flying down. In the water is the sailfish, it has a sail-like dorsal fin and can overswim the fastest human swimmer who has no match for this fish.

General rule is that sound travels faster in denser objects. Sound and light while both waves travel through objects in slightly diffrent ways. Sound energy is a vibration wave that propagates through the material of the object, As a basic analogy consider it as a vibration that passes from 1 molecule to the next in the material the closer the molecules the faster the vibration can be passed on. Light is a discreet photon of energy that travels through the material, it can in this case be considered as if it has some properties of a solid particle which can be slowed.
