You just need to educate the kids that the bedroom is a private place for adults to spend time together. If they need to see you, they need to knock on the door. There should also be a lock on the door to reinforce this.

It shouldn't be too difficult to explain to a child. They understand the concept of who owns what toys. They understand that knives and other kitchen items are for adults only. So it should not be a huge leap to explain that the master bedroom belongs to the grown ups and they are not free to just randomly walk in whenever they feel like it.

There is a reason that doors have locks...try using the lock next time. Depending on the age of the children sit them down and talk with them, being honest and up front with them will help them deal with the situation better. If they like you and are old enough to understand that what goes on in your bedroom does not affect your relationship with them you should have no problems. If they are very young, you might need to have them talk to a therapist and teach them to knock before opening a closed door.

How old are they? They know what sex is right? I'd sit down and talk to them about it and about how you love one another and that you were expressing your love. Don't dwell on it too much as it may embarrass one of them or both of them but tell them that if they have any questions they are free to ask and that next time they should knock on the door before coming in. Also you should invest for a latch inside your door so that this does not happen.

Put a lock on the bedroom door so they can't get in when you're having sex. There should also be a rule that they have to knock before they come into Daddy's room, but if that doesn't work, I'd go with a simply latch on the door.

Ouch, sorry to hear about your situation... My first thought was to suggest locking the door or wait until they're asleep, but those have both been given.
Perhaps talking to them, both of you, about how they should knock before entering a room if the door is closed and that the two of you like to have your "private" time and that it's a time for adults to spend together.

Good luck.

This should not be your issue...as hard as that sounds, it is not your place to talk to the kids about it, it is your boyfriend's place to decide what, if anything, to say to them. If they come to you directly, then you need to be reasonably honest with them.

Of course kids don't need to know the details, but you just explain that it is an act of love, and that it is an expression of your love for thier father.

Tough situation, but again, your boyfriend needs to have the huevos in this situation and talk to them about it himself.

how old are the kids? If they're like 2-6 you can just make up a random lie lol.
Or maybe get a lock?
hmmm, either way its your choice in the end

Unless they ask you about it, let him handle it. It is more appropriate for any discussion to come from their parent. Talk to him though and find out what approach he'd like you to take if they mention it to you. Next time be more aware of your surroundings and their whereabouts.
