Yes, I believe there is communication from beyond. In the future, I think communication will become much easier as we ascend to higher levels of consciousness.

It's not real at all; it's just noise. There's a reason the people who believe in EVP use low quality equipment; it's to get noise. It's that plain ol' white noise that they interpret as being "voices" or "whispers". And, when they hear something that sounds like a voice, the interpret it as being a communication from the dead.
It isn't the dead communicating with us. It's all just so much static....
And, ask yourself, if the dead can communicate with us, why not the unborn?
I admit, it's an interesting phenomenon. But only so far as to say that what the human brain and ear will interpret as words where none exist is interesting. It says something about our, well, need to communicate and understand...

I had never heard of it until I read your question, which led me to look up some sites, listen to some clips. While it is interesting, I would have to do further research to say without a doubt I believed it to be real. It just seems like something that could be so incredibly easy to create.
The scientific, somewhat cynical side of me says : A hoax!
Yet the other half says : wow... I want that to happen to me while I have a recorder in hand!
Again, interesting question.

The ONLY way you will find the answer to this is to try EVP yourself. I've tried it in my home and have gotten what seem to be distinct whispers on tape. So, for me, I believe the phenomenon is definitely real - but I won't jump to the conclusion that it's the dead trying to communicate. It's just bizarre.

No longer believe.
I had a guy once tell me that they could even get them while in "electrically protected" chambers...yeah...lots of ghosts in science labs.
Then they said that if you took a recording near a waterfall or something that gave high-pitched background noise, the "ghosts" would have high-pitched, squeaky voices...no??? really???
If you want to understand how and why you get interference using any electronice device in the U.S. then just take a look at the back of nearly any electronic device in the U.S. ..."must accept interference" by the government. (Part 15 of the FCC rules and regulations?)
Now why out of all the other rules and regulations... probably THOUSANDS, would they choose just that ONE to warn about over and over... (why not "must not EMIT interference..."???) Why must they have at all times the means to interfere with your communications - to decide what you can or ccannot KNOW?? Why can't you eat of the fruit of the tree of knowledge?
