People always know where you stand. But you can come off as more than a bit harsh. Your opinons can be valued because you are straight up, but people often don't really want to hear your opinion.
I've been trying to cure myself of doing so for y e a r s. I think it will be a struggle to the death. ; )

It has advantages, but it dang sure has it's disadvantages too. My advice is simple. Take a course in Tact. Speak to people the way you would like to be spoken to and tell the truth. And ALWAYS Take responsibilty for what you say. (this may sound tough, but if you do, it will make you think before you open your mouth)

From my experience it is better to speak after thinking and not shooting from the hip. People tend not to really want direct and blunt opinions even when they ask for them. Sometimes they even hold it against you if you do, even though they asked for it in the first place. I have ruined relationships that took me years to patch because I spoke my mind. I very seldom speak bluntly anymore and if I had it to do over again I would have changed earlier.

To you, it may be a feel healthy to vent, and it is, to a certin degree
if it is done with both parties best intrests;you and the person you are speaking your mind to. There is a fine line when speaking your mind to others. remember, for every action, there is a reaction.
