I believe that there was a miscommunication regarding time periods from back then. If you divide those large numbers into lunar cycles (~12 per year) then 500=42 years. 900=75 years.

You've been misinformed, or misunderstood what 500-900 years meant back then.
Our life spans are not decreasing. They are increasing. In medieval days, we were LUCKY to live to 50. Now, the average male life span is in the 70s, and women are in their upper 70s.
Do some research.

scientists would say that the world is corrupting . Well, i am a Christian, and i believe in the Bible. Therefore, i believe that the end of the age is soon. The Lord will come and all the events in revalation will happen chronologically. All the Christians will come back a thousand years later at the millenium and then we will start a new age. The life span will be 10times as much as it is now. If you want to know please contact me at pooterkins@hotmail.com

My mother says that our lifespan is getting shorty 'coz of the modern years. For example, she says that in the years of my grandmom she eats veggies while now we usually eat alot of pork which is high cholesterol. And during past egos, no computers and TVs with righ radiation. A study proves that too much radiation cause a death of humans.

It has to do with our diet, environment and technology.
So many factors to consider. But another thought is while the general lifespan is decreasing slowly, the world population is growing too. More competition for food means less for you and me to eat. I have no idea what i'm talking about lol I'll just hush up now
