well! the boy in your neighbourhood possibly had convulsions, commonly called fits. it is basically related to nervous system where in the brain does not receive required amount of blood and oxygen and so he faints with sever convulsions.
it occurs most often in children, who are suffering from high fever and cannot resist it.the body adapts convulsions as one of the defence mechanisms to defend itself from high fever.
treatment is available and it is usually a long term treatment.
