I've dabbled in the arts of pimping, but friends and associates seem to be shocked and appalled about it. A good pimp never forces his hoes to do anything they don't want to - and his basic duties are just giving them rides and making sure they stay safe.
I mean, it's better to have a pimp, otherwise they're out there alone, and could be robbed or raped - or worse.
So, is pimping so wrong?

pimps represent the oppressive patriarchy that has forced women into debasing themselves to sell their bodies in the first place.
this is a pointed debate, as there is a lot of gray area separating a woman's conscious decision to have sex for money vs. being coerced into it by abuse, society and/or other influences.
no matter the woman's reason for selling herself, pimps are generally seen as being exploitative and abusive. i'm sure that for every ethical pimp (what an oxymoron) there are plenty more who don't hesitate to smack hoes and gank dey chedda.

The standard view of one who is a pimp is a man who uses women to make money mostly for him.
Most peoples idea of a pimp comes from movies and TV. Most pimps seem to think that real pimps are like the ones in movies and TV for that matter. News Flash Huggy bear was a character!!
A good pimp doesn't refer to his ladies as hoes, he refers to them as his ladies or his girls. Also a good pimp sees to it that his girls are protected, gets them to their jobs and picks them up afterward.
A good pimp tries to make sure that the girls have housing, that they don't get sick, and takes them to a hospital if they do.
A good pimp sees to it that they have legal aid if they get busted.
A good pimp is basically a male madam
