If he has the flu, he has a virus which is self-limiting. It has to run it's course. He should be taking lots of fluids; anti-diarrheals if he has the runs. Call a doc for phenergan suppositories for vomiting; I'm sure he doesn't want him in his office spreading that crap around. Take Ibupophen if possible with crackers for pain and inflammation. Lots of rest. Godloveya.

There is no cure for the flu-it's a virus, and viruses just have to run their course. You can take over the counter stuff for symptoms to try to feel better until then. Pepto Bismol for vomiting, Theraflu for congestion, Tylenol for fever and aches, etc. Mostly, just try to eat dry foods like crackers and toast, and drink clear fluids like sprite or chicken broth-because being dehydrated or undernourished will make you feel worse.

I'm confused. Why didn't you just say the 'flu' and 'threw up?'
Tell him to go to the doctor.
