Why does poverty exist, even in idustrialized societies??

Because people all exert themselves to become rich, and if there exists the rich, there exists the poverty.

I think it is because people are out for only themselves .Like hurray for me and the hell with you mentality .

someone need to live poorly for other to gain high amounts of wealth. taking more then they need
