Hi! I would be very very careful about how you meet this person. I am not trying to be negative. My husband and I were matched and engaged from a matrimonial based website. We are very happily married now.

But you still don't know this person very well so it is important to be careful and protect yourself. Meet him at a safe location (like the mall, busy restaurant, public place) in the DAYTIME. Don't meet in a parking lot or anyplace where he could possibly follow your car. This way if things go badly, then you can excuse yourself to the ladies room and leave by yourself.

Don't take a ride with him alone. Having a friend come along with you would not be a bad idea. But if you decide to go alone to meet him then let someone know where you are going and what time you will be back. Have some change for a phone call/cell phone in your car so that you can call someone if anything happens.

He may seem like a nice person but you really never know. My courtship to my husband lasted several months and before we were engaged, I corresponded with his friends and family to be sure that he was a sincere person.
