I would say not really. We get about 2 weeks on average when it gets really cold. But usually it is not that cold, but you have to dress appropriately, jackets, gloves , hats, warm socks.

I think a winter in Chicago is much easier to handle than a summer in Miami

thats a good question, sometimes they are real brutal and sometimes they are not, i lived there 7 years, but either way make sure you have a snow shovel and plenty of salt, it all depends if you like the snow or not

Compared to International Falls, MN....no. Compared to Orlando, FL....yes.

Usually a couple of good deep snows a season.
January usually gets really cold...below zero.

Otherwise....we look at it as the prerequisite to Spring!!
