I think that Kelly had in her right to make a comment. And it was stupid for Rosie to step in and call Kelly homophobic. Especially that Clay Aiken has not come out of the closet. Rosie should just mind her own business and stop being paranoid? Just want to read your thoughts on it.

I think the whole thing would've blown over had Rosie just kept her big trap shut and not added fuel to the fire. She claimed that Kelly's response to the action was homophobic. Since when is wanting people to respect your personal space homophobic? I used to really like Rosie, but ever since she "came out" she acts like she has something to prove.

I think Rosie has over-stepped a bit. First of all, Clay is NOT out, and he says he isn't even gay, just for starters. Rosie's comments indicate that either she thinks he is gay, or thinks Kelly thinks he is gay.
As for Kelly's excuse about cold and flu season, have you seen the photos of her with her hands over Regis's mouth?
I agree that initially Clay probably was a little out of line with the touching. He meant it as a joke, and he apologized immediately and backstage. (according to a witness) Kelly, and now Rosie have blown this way out of proportion.

I just wonder if there is a clip lingering around somewhere of Kelly putting her hand over someones mouth on her talk show. I thought she was rude to Clay from the getgo, the poor guy couldn't get a freaking word in. Its obvious she doesn't like him

Rosie should have not called Kelly a homophobe. I don't think clay ever said that he was gay but Rosie will be Rosie. Kelly is the host and he was there to promote his album.

Heres my thoughts........why did Rosie make the comment about Kelly being a homophobic...last time i heard clay never said he was gay or other wise anything about his sexuality ....so does Rosie know something we don't.....Is clay gay.....Did she let the cat out of the bag ...Kelly had every right ...keep your hands to your self.....that was so rude.

I think Rosie had a point on her show - it is called 'The View' and the purpose of the show is to have diverse co-hosts discuss their views on current events.
Rosie, actually, ANYONE on a talk show is paid to NOT mind their own business =) Otherwise, what would they have to talk about, and why would we tune in?
I think it's good that Kelly Ripa called in to The View - it encouraged some more discourse on the matter and cleared a few things up. Rosie said that her opinion was just that - what she interpreted, as a gay woman.
Personally, I believe what Kelly was getting at, but I also understand Rosie's sensitivity. I think both had a right to make it as big a deal as they did.

I saw that too. IT had something to do with Clay covering Kelly's mouth so he could get a word in. Rosie is acting like Kelly said something bad about gay people. I think it was Clay trying to shut Kelly up myself. Regis sometimes can't get a word in with her babble.

Kelly is a mother with small children and I'm sure she is as germ-conscious as I am. I wouldn't want anyone to put their hand over my mouth like that -- it's impolite and unsanitary. Rosie over-reacted.

I agree with you 100% Rosie is dumb for opening her mouth and it was rude of HER to make that comment implying that clay is gay even though he has never confirmed it. Kelly had every right to make her comment.

I'm for TEAM KELLY!!!
Clay should have kept his hands to himself, he was so wrong.
Rosie had to stick her nose into it all.
Little ol' Kelly sure packed a powerful punch to big butch Rosie!!! LOL
Since she started on "The View" it has gone to hell in a hand basket PDQ!!
They need to change the name of it to "Rosie's View" since she tries to hog the show.
I'm suprised Joy Baer (sp?) hasn't whooped her d@amn @ss by now.
