Talk to the baby like a she's a normal person. When she makes a noise that sounds like talking encourage her, babies like to make noise and when she does learn how to talk it'll be when she's ready. All babies have a time that's right for them to do things. Your baby will make noise when it feels right for her and talk when it's time for her to talk.

My son would be 2 this month. He has been saying words when you consider that he substitute right into a million, hassle-free ones like ball, cup, mommy, daddy, doggy...he has an exceedingly great vocabulary while it is composed of only saying one word. He has only interior the previous few weeks began to place 2 or 3 words at the same time. i'm no longer traumatic. i be attentive to a 2 twelve months old that talks a mile a minute! My son is obviously at the back of the different toddler yet i do no longer think of he's "at the back of'. i do no longer think of your son is the two. My son will additionally tell me loooong thoughts in jibberish, I see no longer something incorrect with it. maximum childrens seize as much as a minimum of one yet another by utilising the time they are preschool or kindergarten. as long as they understand and might communicate i do no longer see a venture. I advised my son on the instant "circulate throw this away and then grab me a towel to bathe your milk up, and while i'm executed take the towel and positioned it interior the abate please." He remembered and did it step by utilising step. only because of the fact they are able to't communicate nicely yet does no longer mean they are at the back of in my eyes. stable success inclusive of your attractive toddler. :)

I would suggest using indirect methods like parallel talk or object centered talking, because some children do find that it's too much pressure if you're always in their face 'making' them speak. I'm in a college communication class for birth -age 8 now and it's been a great resource for me, maybe you should try taking classes.

No your Mother who I'm sure means well is not correct.
Children learn through babble (baby talk) and through immitating your sounds. Talking is good for the baby. Children who develop an early vocabulary do better in school and standardized tests. Talk all you want to her and let her talk away!
Here is a great link with lots of articles on child developmehttp://babyparenting.about.com/od/childdevelopment/Development_of_Infants_Toddlers_and_Preschoolers.htmnt

I wasnt quite clear on the ?, but if it's trying to get your baby to make sounds by talking to her, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. It's good! I'd 'baby talk' to my girl at times, and then usually I'd try to speak a little more 'normally' so she would be exposed to both... you have to learn early that mothers, mother in laws, friends, strangers, you name it has their own ideas on things. Some of it you can learn from, but most (like this) you just gotta ignore!

Right from the start, babies are learning language skills by listening to YOU talk. They learn speech cadence, tonal inflections etc. Tell them about everything you're doing. lay them on their back and show simple bright picture books and talk about it. The stimulations creates neural synapses but it doesn't pressure them at all. Get the book :"What to expect the first year". Good luck

2 month old babies can not talk, and you will only drive yourself nuts waiting for a 2 month old baby to complete a sentence lol. Give it a rest and wait until the baby is almost 2 years old rather than only 2 months!

Just give your baby time she's only two months old. Sooner or later she will eventually learn. Just relax and take it easy. Try when you baby is a bit older. Don't put pressure on her and just wait for a while. Teach her when she's old enough to learn and when she's comfortable and you think she's ready. :D

You cant make them talk. Cooing isn't harmful! Old wives tale. It's your baby, you're an adult now. You'll get a lot of crazy advice about what's right or wrong, use your common sense on what advice to take and what to listen to and just file away. :) Its not disrespectful to not put all advice into play.

2 months baby and talking?!
Do you mean making sounds? No, they do not get tired. It's good for them. This is the beginning of speech and expression and it's totally fine.
