Super succulent, crispyskinned thanksgiving turkey...?
How do I make a turkey that is SO succulent, moist, juicy, dripping with natural juices, all covered in a crispy, crunchy, flavorful skin? How do I get it so good that people sitting at the table take one bite and just look at eachother, then at me, in total awe and wonder of HOW I cooked such an AMAZING bird. I don't care if it takes forever to cook and if it sounds intricate or crazy. I want REAL suggestions and answers and I want to and am willing to try anything. I want a beautiful, succulent, juicy bird. I want as close to perfection I can possibly get. White meat tends to be so dry... I want to change that. PLEASE chefs and ANYONE else who is a pro at this, I am BEGGING for all the right answers! I have some of the best mashed taters and now I'm looking for this! I'm sure you've noticed my other plead for the pasta sausage stuffing, I just want people who come over to REALLY and truly enjoy themselves at my house. It just means everything in the world to me. Please help. Thanks.

Well, here's something that I have tried before and it works very well to make the white meat very juicy: cook the bird upside down. It sounds king of strange, but it works. All the juices will soak into the white meat. I don't remember cooking times or anything off the top of my head. Also, I always baste with lots of butter, and use salt and pepper, not way too much else, and put some onion and celery inside either with or without stuffing...my turkey is always scrumptious. Hope your Turkey turns out great, happy Thanksgiving!

Cajun fried turkey is da BOMB! You can't get any better!
I guess if that option is not available...Get a meat injector, mix up lots of Tony's Seasoning and melted butter, inject the bird every where and massage it in. Then put a quartered onion and apple and a couple of celery stalks in the cavity. Rub the outside of the bird with cooking oil. and put in a browning bag. (Blow some air in the bag to balloon it out so it doesn't stick to the bird. or you could put some onion rings on top of the breast) Follow directions for baking, but for the last 30-45 minutes bake with the whole top of the bag cut out. You should have a tasty bird..

The secret that I found useful was melt some butter along with your favorite seasonings, spread it all over the turkey including the inside, put more of your favorite season on the turkey, and cook your Turkey in a oven(cooking) bag. My turkey came out so moist and tender that it was almost falling off the bone. I received so many compliments. By the way, I hope you and your family have a nice Thanksgiving. Good luck.

1st of all - CHILL - Butterball turkeys are pretty moist and if you cook it in a roasting bag it will stay pretty moist - at the end of your cooking time , rip the bag open and baste your turkey with the juices at the bottom of the bag/pan and let it cook in the oven a few extra minutes - watch your bird to keep it from overr browning - if you can find a turducken or turporken in your area these turkeys are almost foolproof! turducken and turporkens are boneless turkeys that are stuffed with a layer of dressing followed by a boneless breast of duck or a boneless pork lois, followed by another layer of dressing ,followed by a boneless chicken - this is then all laced up and you bake it - it is truly a moist and tasty turkey - we have those here in Houston, parts of Texas and sometimes in nearby Louisiana - GOOD LUCK!!!

go to your supermarket and go to the section where they have those ziploc bags. grab a package of reynolds oven bags and stick the turkey in there! my mom uses it every year and it makes the turkey just right and it even cooks faster in the bag (and yes, it comes out SO juicy youll be drooling)!

I saw your question, but my husband is the one who can do a turkey the way you are talking about. Whenever he has done ours that way he deep-fried it...Cajun Style.
