my son has a tooth pushing up on his bottom gums, and the top of the gum is ripping! he is fussy and cranky, not settling and clingy. however, it is an inscisor (i think that's the name, the tooth next to his front one). the gum is a bit swollen and red....shall i expect to see a tooth soon?

it depends....i thought i would see teeth a lot sooner than i did judging by the gums. some babies get teeth early, some later. they do teeth at 3 months though, as mine did. but no pearly whites until around 6 months. and yes she was cranky and ran fever off and on way before they popped out.

Be calm. It is a normal process of teething. You will see the incisors soon. However, he may feel a bit itchy and like to bite things.
