Commercial grade (98 to 99 percent) Tetraphenylcyclopentadienone (or 2,3,4,5-tetraphenylcyclopenta -2,4-dien-1-one) has a melting point of 217 to 220 drgrees C. The pure recrystalized specimen will usually melt at about 222 degrees using a vacuum melting point tube.

Oh, as for the comment about remembering how to spell it...from the structure: "one" means a ketone. "cyclopentadien" means it's got a five-carbon ring, with two double bonds. The keto group goes the only place it can, at the one atom where there's no double bond. And the four phenyls attach to the other four carbons. Just one thing...shouldn't the IUPAC name be "tetraphenylcyclopentadieneone" (with an "e" after "dien")?
