in Cyberspace all caps is considered yelling at the top of your lungs however I thing that all caps with underlines should be yelling at the top of your lungs. Sometimes I like TO USE ALL CAPS JUST TO SET OFF THE ANAL RETENTIVE PEOPLE WHO GET HINKEY WHEN PEOPLE USE ALL CAPS.

In written format, all caps is considered the same as yelling. Also, long statements which are written with all caps can be difficult to read as the eyes become tired from trying to focus on individual words and letters.

Writing in all caps is considering 'yelling' to the internet-savvy. Yelling in real is pretty rude, same goes with the internet and writing in all caps.

Yep, I knew that typing in caps became seen rude, no longer purely by Yahoo yet on different web pages too. contained when it comes to the different web pages that's seen to be yelling. i became shocked when I first discovered that. i comprehend that my mom has suggested that in offices the bosses pick them to form in caps. each and every from time to time it would want to get so confusing.

It is not always rude, it's how you present it or word it. Here's an example of a non-rude or offensive type; DO NOT ENTER!, OR OUT OF ORDER!. I can't think of a rude one at the moment, but I am sure many of those out there on this site could give you an example of a rude one and you will know.

because the ancient greeks used to believe that the larger the text the more important the message was. this developed into a sort of loudness in the words themselves throughout the middle ages, which later turned into using all caps as a sign of arrogance.

Yes, it definitely looks like you are yelling and being "very clear" about what you are trying to say. I just received an email from someone today who did that and I took it to be rude.

i USED TO WORK WITH A LOVELY LADY, WE'LL CALL HER aUDREY, WHO USED aLL cAPS QUITE OFTEN. bUT IT WAS USUALLY BY MISTAKE. tHAT IS, cAPS lOCK WAS LEFT ON, SO EVERY SENTENCE STARTED WITH lOWER cASE LETTERS. aLWAYS GOOD FOR A LAUGH!
