I read a few responses and rock and roll and AC/DC may work but it depends on the type of gathering you are having. If it is a mixed crowd young to middle age or older than playing contemporary sounds light jazz, Tony Bennet in the background will work. If it is for dinner you don't want music overpowering dinner conversation, and some folks don't care for music at all. So if it is the young crowd where everyone is partying than a mixture of the latest R&B, Rap, and Hip Hop along with some good old fashioned rock and roll.
