I got the Christmas lights up but no tree yet...

Not me -- I prefer to wait until the 1st of December (even though I do have an Artificial Tree). It just does not seem 'right' to start putting up Christmas stuff before Thanksgiving is over and you have the weekend to reflect on its meaning.

sure not at my house.. that would be one sad looking tree by the time Christmas was here !! and besides i m Canadian and we had our Thanksgiving in October
my family gets our tree near to Christmas around a week before

Not on the Thanksgiving, but usually that week-end. We try to coincide it with the beginning of Advent. This year it will probably go up on 2 December.

my mom would usually do it a couple days before so the people who came over for thanksgiving would see it, lol this year tho i came in from out of town on the 6th of this month, and it was already up :{

We don't celebrate Thanxgiving day. Is Aus. My family puts the tree up 1st of december
